Ndlozi’s suggestions come at a time when KZN Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi made his first appearance before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.

He proposed that the Madlanga Commission should ask Ramaphosa to confirm if suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu had informed him of the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team. If it turns out that Mchunu informed Ramaphosa, Ndlozi proposed a follow-up question.
“For CR: he must answer this: ‘Can you confirm that Mchunu told you about the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team? If yes, why did you agree?’” Mbuyiseni Ndlozi wrote.
Ndlozi wants Ian Cameron to appear before Madlanga Commission
The radio host, who turned 40 this year, also suggested that the Madlanga Commission should summon Ian Cameron and the entire Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Police. He suggested that Cameron should answer why they did not investigate Mchunu’s claim that the Political Killings Task Team had been disbanded with Ramaphosa’s knowledge and approval. Part of Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s post reads:
“For Portfolio Committee on Police: when Mkhwanazi told you about the disbandment of the political killings team and Minister Mchunu argued that it was done in concert with the President, why did you not probe political interference into police operations and hold the executive accountable?”
He added why he believes the whole Parliamentary Portfolio Committee should appear before the Madlanga Commission. Part of Ndlozi’s post reads:
“Parliament never asked any of these questions! They are complicit and must come to the Madlanga Commission to answer for their utter uselessness!”

Netizens react to Mbuyiseni Ndlozi's proposal
In the comments, netizens agreed with Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s proposal, with some suggesting how the Madlanga Commission should question Cyril Ramaphosa and the Portfolio Committee on Police. Others proposed additional questions Ramaphosa and the Portfolio Committee should answer.
Here are some of the comments:
@MabhedlaKa proposed:
“They must ask CR to produce: the exact date/time he was briefed, all briefing notes, and any instructions he gave/received about the PKTT. Ask the Committee Chair to produce: minutes showing they probed political interference when Mkhwanazi raised concerns, or explain why they didn't.”
@bhadelaLo_zola suggested:
“Thanks for this breakdown, Dr Ndlozi. Indeed, these are pertinent questions. Arising from this is an unanswered question on why Lt. Gen Mkhwanazi took that unprecedented option: the tone, the content and the timing? Why was the president unavailable to give him an audience?”
@thiagoyamal said:
"The Portfolio Committee’s response would be interesting to hear. They have been sitting on the information since March. Based on the information supplied, something should’ve been done. Those individuals are quite capable of identifying threats.”
@liberated694921 asked:
“Why didn’t Cyril establish the commission back then? Cyril, together with the MPs, must account!”
