Renowned broadcaster Sizwe Dhlomo has reacted to a proposal to donate a car worth R260,000 to KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.

Mkhwanazi is topping social media trending charts after his two appearances at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry. He is trending for his revelations as much as his behaviour, such as bringing his own water.

The social media influencer who spearheaded the initial campaign to get General Mkhwanazi cows is impressed with the top cop’s revelations at the Madlanga Commission so much that he suggested another campaign to honour him.

Sizwe Dhlomo reacts to new gift idea for General Mkhwanazi

On Thursday, 18 September 2025, controversial influencer Chris Excel took to X and suggested that they should get General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi a 2017 Isuzu KB, retailing for R259,995 on AutoTrader, before fees and extras. The post was captioned:

“Comrades, I’m thinking that after this commission, we get Lord Mkhwanazi a Bakkie now. I’ve seen enough 🤧🤧🔥🔥”

Sizwe Dhlomo, who previously questioned the first fundraising campaign, reacted to the proposal to buy a bakkie worth R260,000 for General Mkhwanazi. The Kaya 959 presenter took a playful jab at Chris Excel, suggesting that the influencer would divert the funds to personal use once the top cop turns down the donation. The post was captioned:

“Nakhoke! Lol! You know he’s going to reject it, so you’ll get an upgrade from the Run X.”

In the comment section, Chris Excel took the jab in his stride and responded with a meme. Several netizens shot down Chris Excel’s proposal, while others shared hilarious reactions.

@Mohlaodi7 shared:

“Too ambitious. By law, he is not allowed to take a gift from the public. That is why the money you raised was diverted to the police foundation.”

@Mabossokenna777 suggested:

“In this case, the general himself must confirm with his mouth if he wants it or not before we start contributing... and also provide us with his personal account number. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣”

“Honestly, @ChrisExcel102 deserves it; he has been keeping us entertained, consistently for that matter 🤣🤣🤣👍”

@BhutmakhekheSA suggested:

“Even if @ChrisExcel102 keeps the bakkie, he has been doing a great job in rallying us behind great leaders like Mkhwanazi.”
