Khanyi Mbau and Mandla Mthembu's marriage

Mthembu went under the radar after his marriage to Khanyi Mbau ended. The couple were married after Mthembu proposed in 2006. That same year, they welcomed their only child, a daughter named Khanukani “Khanz” Mbau.

Their brief marriage ended in 2009 after Mthembu ran out of money, and Mbau revealed that the businessman had cheated on her. Khanyi Mbau also alleged that Mandla Mthembu had abused her. She alleged that the abuse started when they attended the South African Music Awards in 2006 and continued despite Mthembu’s assurances that he would stop.

Mthembu later claimed that he chose not to remain a part of ‘Mbau’s circus’ after their two Lamborghinis were repossessed due to non-payment, and they parted ways.
