After speculations that convicted Kwaito singer Sipho 'Brickz' Ndlovu has been released from prison, the Department of Correctional Services has clarified things for the public.

Ndlovu was sentenced to 15 years for the rape of his teenage niece in 2013. Social media users reportedly believe that they saw the singer active on TikTok, adding fire to the rumours.

Speculations gained momentum when a poet and activist wrote on X that the celebrity who violated her and was arrested for the rape of his own niece was released from jail. The singer relayed her feelings towards the singer's supposed release, saying, "The celebrity who raped me has been released from jail for raping his niece. I must just accept and deal. This is life."

Critics questioned the authenticity of Ndlovu’s rehabilitation, with some speculating that his participation in the choir could be a strategic move to improve his chances of parole."

Brickz's imprisonment has left many people divided, with some suggesting that he has spent his time, while others are opposed to his release.

Brickz's son joins music industry despite father's wishes

In a previous report from Briefly News, Brickz's son, Gugulethu Cleopas Ndlovu, is supposedly looking to make a name for himself in the music industry. This is reportedly despite his father's wishes, who does not want him exposed to the industry.

Cleopas, who celebrated a year in the music industry, started out as a DJ and then became a producer. He goes by the stage name Google Da DJ, and his career choices landed him on his father's wrong side, who feels as though this will distract him from his studies.
