Taking to X, Ntsiki Mazwai said Anele is indeed the spokesperson of black people, honouring her bravery and ability to speak her mind. Her X post reads:

"Well Done Anele! As a black person, you are very much the spokesperson for black people! Well done for your bravery and honesty when it got hot in the kitchen. We see you," she hailed.

The discussion continued under Ntsiki's post. Below are some of the mixed reactions from people who are team Anele and those who support Zille to become the mayor, and her responses in the interview.

@HuseinWhitehead argued:

"Black journalists are applauded whenever they are rude to white people in power in the name of 'empowered to ask tough questions', and white people kowtow to this behaviour in fear of being called a racist."

@mix_upchick said:

"@Anele's taking points were solicited from the drunk uncles at her local shebeen. No substance, when Helen challenged her. Anele must leave the Political/Current Affairs to a competent radio host like Clement or Lester."

@MosupiOpelo stated:

"People who are speaking from a point of comfort will not understand what Anele was saying and how relevant the question she was asking is to me and the rest of poor black South Africans. She spoke on my behalf."

@Uncensored_Rza gave his opinions:

"This is definitely the type of patriotism that we need in the black community-we can't succumb to white supremacy in 2025."

@thabomaredi laughed:

"Jonga I loved when she said Kaloku Hellen."

@JamaMbali7482 stated:

"She definitely held it down. Gog' Zille is so condescending. When will we reach the point of resolving municipal challenges if they're not even being diagnosed properly? The literal definition of apartheid was 'separate development', and that's the Western Cape in a nutshell!"
