Lisa's private cancer battle

Lisa received her colorectal cancer diagnosis in November 2023 but chose to keep the news from the public. According to Danny K, her husband, her reason was deeply personal: she hoped to one day use her own journey to encourage others around early detection. The family confirmed her passing on 10 August 2026.

In a tribute shared on his official Instagram the following day, Danny K described the exhaustive search for treatment that took the family across borders. "Together with our family, we searched for hope in South Africa and around the world, pursuing every treatment and every opportunity available to us. Tragically, despite everything, we could not save her," he wrote.
