Afro-pop singer Intaba Yase Dubai has spoken out after being bombarded with social media comments drawing comparisons between him and the late Maskandi star Inkosi Yamagcokama. The unsolicited attention has left the Sibali hitmaker feeling pained, not for his own sake, but out of concern for the grieving family of the deceased artist.
Inkosi Yamagcokama, whose real name was Sicebi Dlamini, died on 9 August 2026 following a cr accident on the John Ross Highway. Crew member Gumu "Gupta" Mchunu also lost his life in the same crash. The beloved Maskandi singer was laid to rest on Sunday, 17 August 2026, in Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal, leaving behind a heartbroken fanbase still coming to terms with the loss.

Intaba Yase Dubai's plea to fans
In the wake of the funeral, scores of social media users began tagging Intaba Yase Dubai in posts comparing his looks to those of the late singer. Some went as far as calling on him to change his physical appearance to resemble Inkosi Yamagcokama, a request that the singer found deeply uncomfortable.

"Please, I know Scebi was loved, but some comments are not necessary. Fans must let him rest in peace now. It's enough. They mustn't bother his soul with such comments," he said, as quoted by Daily Sun.
Why the comments cause him pain
Despite acknowledging that he is not furious over the situation, Intaba Yase Dubai made clear that the comments stir something deeper in him.
"We were all created by God, so at some point we will look alike. I also understand how social media users are. They can say anything without thinking twice," he said.
He then shifted focus to the real reason behind his discomfort, saying the ongoing comparisons risk prolonging the pain of those closest to Sicebi Dlamini.
"However, I'm not angered by the comments. It's just that I feel pain. If more comments are made about Sicebi, it will be difficult for his loved ones to heal and move on. That's why I am asking people to let him rest in peace," he added.
His message was a measured and heartfelt appeal to fans to channel their grief more thoughtfully, and to allow both the memory of Inkosi Yamagcokama and his family the space to find peace.
