Sizwe Dhlomo has done it again. The radio presenter and media personality lit up social media across Southern Africa after dropping a pointed question about the President of Botswana's skin tone, turning what started as a fashion appreciation post into a full-blown cross-border debate.
It began when X user KamsZizi shared photos of the Botswana president walking through a hallway flanked by his entourage, captioned:
"Can your President ever? 🔥"
The post was clearly intended to celebrate the leader's sharp, relaxed style. Sizwe Dhlomo, known for his unfiltered takes online, quote-tweeted the images with a single pointed question in isiZulu:

"Wa bleacher uPresident wenu? loosely translated as ‘Is your President skin bleaching?’”
Batswana defend their president
The remark quickly spread, drawing responses from both sides of the border. Several Batswana users pushed back, arguing that the president has always had a naturally light complexion and that the fair tone visible in the photos was simply a result of camera flash and professional lighting rather than any cosmetic intervention.
