Veteran South African actress Sonia Mbele has set social media alight after posting a video of herself getting into and driving a red Ferrari sports car. The flashy, nighttime clip had Mzansi talking from the moment it hit their timelines.

The video, shared on X on Sunday, 6 September 2026, was filmed handheld in a covered driveway before transitioning to an outdoor courtyard. Set to an upbeat, braggadocious rap track about luxury and wealth, the first-person recording captures Mbele climbing into the left-hand-drive Ferrari and driving off, giving the clip an unmistakably aspirational energy.

Mbele is best known for her role as Generations' Ntombi, a character she played for years before becoming a prominent television producer. The sight of her behind the wheel of one of the world's most coveted sports cars unsurprisingly stopped fans mid-scroll.
