After more than three years of family drama and fierce storylines, e.tv's Isitha: The Enemy has been cancelled, with the curtain set to fall on 23 April 2027.
The series launched in 2023 as a spin-off of The Black Door, following the Sokhulu family through a fresh set of conflicts and characters. For Black Brain Pictures co-founder and executive producer Mandla N, the end of the show carries genuine emotion. He reflected on how the production team took familiar threads from The Black Door and built something that could stand on its own, giving birth to new characters and storylines that grew beyond the original concept.

In a surprising move, the production is still bringing in new talent this late in the game. Actress and musician Kabelo "KB" Motsilanyane has joined the cast, taking on the role of Dineo Mtshali, the mother of Mapholoba's son, OJ. Her arrival adds another layer to the closing chapter of the drama.
A first look at Motsilanyane in character as Dineo Mtshali was shared on X by Jabu Macdonald, offering viewers an early glimpse of the new addition ahead of the show's final run.
