South African singer and vocalist Naledi Aphiwe has confirmed she recovered her official YouTube Artist Channel after it was deleted without her consent, sending relief through her fanbase on Friday, 11 September 2026.
The drama began a day earlier on Thursday, 10 September, when Naledi announced that her entire YouTube music catalogue had been wiped from the platform. The channel, which had amassed over 120 million views across music videos, audio visualisers and other content, disappeared without any action on her part. The timing made the situation even more painful: the removal came just weeks before she was set to release a full EP.

Naledi Aphiwe drops new music after recovering YouTube
Despite the setback, the Metro FM Award winner pressed ahead with her release plans. Track 3 from the upcoming EP, titled "Ngowami", became available on all platforms on the same Friday her channel was restored. The full EP is scheduled to drop on 24 September 2026, giving fans something to look forward to as the channel situation is resolved.
