South African singer Naledi Aphiwe has revealed that her entire YouTube music catalogue was wiped from the platform without her consent, just weeks before she was set to drop a new EP. The announcement, shared via her official Instagram account on Thursday, 10 September 2026, was accompanied by a heartfelt caption:
"Here is a lesson about trust!💔 But Ngeke kuze kuphele ngami!"
The official press release from Naledi Music Group confirmed that her YouTube Artist Channel, which housed music videos, audio visualisers and other creative content, was taken down without her authorisation. By the time the statement was issued, nearly two weeks had passed since the removal, with no restoration in sight despite ongoing efforts by Naledi and her management team.
