After SAPS issued a chilling public warning about four women found dead in the Rhodesfield area of Kempton Park over roughly two months, Mdoda took to X on Saturday, 12 September 2026, with a blunt and emotionally charged suggestion that set social media alight.

Responding to a post by Tumi Sole, who shared the SAPS media statement, Mdoda did not mince her words.

"We need to start playing offence. Plant women alone and lure these monsters in and shoot them in the head!!!! It's enough. Cause who are these kids who must grow up with no mothers!!!! Nah, it's enough," she wrote.

The SAPS warning that prompted Anele Mdoda's reaction

According to the police statement, the bodies of four women were discovered in the same vicinity in and around Kempton Park, with the most recent found on Saturday evening. All the victims were found half-naked and with visible bruising. While SAPS stopped short of officially declaring the cases the work of a serial killer, the similarities were described as "sufficiently concerning" to issue a public warning.

Acting National Commissioner Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane directed the Gauteng Provincial Commissioner to immediately set up a dedicated multidisciplinary task team. The team will be headed by Gauteng Deputy Provincial Commissioner Major General Mbuso Khumalo and will include detectives from the Murder and Robbery Unit and the Investigative Psychology Unit. SAPS urged women in the area to avoid walking or running alone, especially in secluded spaces.
