Murdah Bongz has set Mzansi talking after sharing a heartfelt message about missing his former Black Motion partner Thabo Roy "Smol" Mabogwane. The post, shared on Sunday, 20 September 2026, sent fans straight to the comments with opinions ranging from warm nostalgia to cold hard truths.
The music producer posted "Miss my Bro!!!!!!" alongside a photo on his X account, which quickly caught the attention of music lovers across the country. The Audio Lab reposted the moment, adding: "Till we meet again, my bro... Mörda's words hit different. I wish Black Motion could fix things, man."
A friendship that turned legal
The pair's split was far from quiet. In February 2025, Murdah Bongz obtained a court order to retrieve his belongings from a Centurion, Pretoria property he and Thabo Smol had purchased together back in April 2015. According to reports at the time, Smol refused to hand over his items or grant him access to the home. The duo briefly looked set to mend fences when they reunited in April 2024, but the relationship did not hold.
