A video of an ANC Executive Mayor getting hands-on during a rural campaign stop has Mzansi talking. The clip, shared by Mbuyiseni Ndlozi on X, shows what many are calling a desperate bid for votes ahead of the November 2026 local government elections.

The footage was captured on 22 September 2026 in Ward 14, Tontonyane, in the North West province. In it, Executive Mayor Cllr Khumalo Molefe joins ANC campaign volunteers dressed in branded yellow "Vote ANC" vests, cooking food in large black pots over an open fire inside a rustic mud-walled kitchen hut. The scene then shifts outdoors, where the group relaxes together under a tree in a communal, jovial setting. The cook-up formed part of door-to-door campaign activities in the lead-up to the 4 November 2026 vote.
