‘Tsotsi’ Actor Mothusi Magano Joins Upcoming SABC 1 Drama Series ‘High Grader’

Actor Mothusi Magano has reportedly joined a new SABC 1 drama series, High Grader.
Magano is famous for his role as Boston in the Oscar-winning film Tsotsi, where he starred opposite the late Presley Chweneyagae.
Now, according to an announcement by Phil Mphela on 27 August 2025, the award-winning actor now takes the role of a teacher in the new series, set in Ekurhuleni.
After wrapping up Wild is the Wind in 2022, Magano later joined the cast of Unseen, where he acted alongside Gail Mabalane in 2023, before he lent his acting prowess on the set of In Your Dreams that same year.
