Bathong, Mzansi's fan-favourite reality TV show, Married At First Sight, has been making headlines on social media since its debut on Mzansi Magic, and one of the cast members, Tshepo Miya, has had many viewers at home on the edge of their seats.

On Sunday, 7 September 2025, the entertainment commentator Jabu Macdonald couldn't hold it anymore as he recently went on a rant about Miya's "dodgy" character on the show. He further shared how he has been toxic since the show started and the ways he treats his wife, Palesa Mphaki.

This isn't the first time Miya received massive backlash from netizens online, as in August 2025, he revealed that he started noticing red flags in his marriage with Mphaki.
