Themba Khosa from Married at First Sight is being accused of putting his marriage on the line for the sake of fame.

The reality TV personality and DJ, who was shipped with his co-star Nelisa Ntabeni on the show, has been exposed for lying about his relationship status by his own wife.

During the recent episode on 21 September 2025, Khosa's wife and baby mama, Sponono Radebe, appeared before her husband, his new wife and the experts to reveal that they were married despite what he told them.

Sponono shared screenshot evidence where her husband told her he would only be using the platform for the fame and money, but would remain faithful to her:

"He said he was going to act. I knew about the show, he told me, 'You know me, you know I can contain myself.'"

She said she trusted him because he had never given her any reason to doubt him. Further, he constantly assured her through text that she was the one for him, and that all he wanted was to be famous.

"He has never cheated on me, I said 'Okay, I cannot stand between you and your dreams.' What he wanted was publicity. I asked him if he slept with her, and he said, 'No.'"

Meanwhile, when asked about his reason to join the show, Themba told Briefly News that he was seeking stability:

"I was genuinely ready to settle down. I've been through enough in life to know what I want, and I thought this could be a real way to find someone who matches me. I know it sounds wild to marry a stranger, but I came in with an open heart."

Themba said the relationship between his wife, Nelisa, and the kids was looking promising:

"My kids and wife love each other, even though they haven’t spent a lot of time together. I can see a happy family in the future."

Sponono, who also revealed the details of their customary marriage, received an outpouring of support from viewers, who slammed Themba for deceiving everyone.

Nelisa Ntabeni reacts to Themba Khosa drama

Themba Khosa's wife, Nelisa Ntabeni, was as shocked as the viewers after learning about her husband's first marriage.

Taking to her TikTok page, Ntabeni weighed in on the backlash and reactions, saying she was not aware that he lied about having a wife despite a secret "confession."

Moreover, Nelisa referred to Themba as her "then-husband," seemingly signalling the end of another marriage after Palesa Mphaki and Tshepo Miya's.
