A university student is celebrating a massive win after placing a bet and walking away with a staggering R1.1 million.

The lucky student, who chose to be identified as Christian, revealed that he carefully crafted a bet slip comprising 30 games, each selected to maximize his chances of winning.

According to the Nile Post, Christian has been a regular punter, but this time, he decided to go big and bet on 30 games.

The lucky man used R12 to place the bet, predicting no penalties in all the 30 games selected.

"I was in disbelief when I realized my stake had won me R1.1 million" the engineering student told journalists.

Christian said he plans to continue placing bets when asked if he would stop betting after this huge win.

Brand ambassador and singer Diana Namukwaya, popularly known as Spice Diana, presented the cheque to the winner.

Diana praised the new millionaire, indicating that he was one of the company's highest winners whose effort had been rewarded.

"I am going home to rest and plan what to do with the money I have won, but I will use part of the money to place another bet," Christian added.
