A young Afrikaner man working in Kansas City in Missouri, America, shared that he was ready to take a dip in the ocean as soon as December begins. His positive energy put a smile on locals' faces.

Hailing from Upington in the Northern Cape, the man, named PG, uploaded the clip on his account on 17 July. Although covered in dirt, he still seemed to have a smile on his face.

Possibly alluding to his working conditions on the farm and the hard work he had put in, the H-2A visa holder said:

"Look, if I look like this, and you watch my TikToks, don't ask me in December if I want to braai because I don't want to. I look like this because I'm going to the beach. I'm going to drink a bit of brandy at the beach. I'm just saying."

While PG might be going to the beach to enjoy himself, it is not known if he will enjoy his alcoholic beverage in the sun back home or sip on it during Kansas City's cold temperatures. Either way, it seems he will have a good time!

What is an H-2A visa?

When applying for an H-2A visa, applicants seek temporary employment in the United States to work agricultural jobs. It should not be confused with an H-2B visa, which allows applicants to work non-agricultural jobs.

Afrikaner man gets a laugh

Several Afrikaner social media users headed to PG's comment section, thoroughly entertained by his plans for the end of the year.

@sonelmarilouwvanrooyen wrote to the young farm worker:

"Haha. A person works hard throughout the year, and all that one can do is take a break at the beach. Enjoy it, and go big!"

@jmdt9252 jokingly asked the man:

"Do you want to braai in December?"

"My friend, it's that red machine that's making you sweat like that. Just kidding."

@vrystaat_bianca, who felt they could relate, shared:

"I feel the same way, my friend."

@theresa.knoll6 added in the comments:

"I like your positive attitude. I wish others could be like you. Enjoy what you are doing."

@violaslabbert shared how proud they were of PG, writing:

"I wish there were more young people who want to follow in your footsteps. Well done. You are working very hard. If you were my son, I would be very proud of you."
