An Afrikaner man named PG, who works on a farm in Kansas City, Missouri, United States, humorously shared why he couldn't stop working for his foreign bosses, even though he felt he had had enough of the work.
On 13 July, 2025, PG (who is originally from Upington in the Northern Cape) uploaded a video on his TikTok account and told people online how it was in America.
He said in the clip:
"'PG, go do this. PG, go do that. PG, do you want to do this? PG, please bring me this.' PG isn't in the mood. PG doesn't want to anymore, but PG is way too poor not to do anything."

In his caption, the farmer, who is an H-2A visa holder, added a disclaimer to note that he was only making a joke, writing:
"I'm not complaining."
When TikTok user @hendrik2774 asked PG why he was in America, the farmer said:
"Because I deserve a good salary, and I like it here."
What is an H-2A visa?
H-2A visas are legal documents given to individuals looking to temporarily work agricultural jobs in America. It should not be confused with an H-2B visa, which provides applicants with temporary non-agricultural jobs.

South Africans feel for the Afrikaner farmer
A few local members of the online community took to the post's comment section to express their thoughts about the video they had seen on their For You Pages. Some didn't realise the humour in the clip and felt PG should be grateful. Other social media users commended the man for his hard work.
@mcvdw0 stated with a laugh:
"You wanted to work there, so suffer."
PG humorously replied to the app user:
"I'm actually not suffering. Here in America, I pay R35 for a big can of Pringles, so it works for me."
@paulinapatel3 wrote in the comment section:
"You belong to South Africa. I think you must collect your dollars and come back home."
@magnusabraham, who could relate to the young man, laughed and said:
"Push, my brother. I agree with you. I'm in Canada, and the same thing is happening here. You've just made my day. Inspired."
Not realising PG was being funny, @louisa0206 added in the comments:
"You earn a good salary in America, so don't complain. In South Africa, there is no work for our children."
A positive @joseph.sampson59 told the youngster:
"It's only the beginning. Bigger things are coming. Don't get discouraged, my friend."
