A South African Zulu man living in America got candid in a series of videos about what it was truly like being a foreigner in the country.

He explained that he had a very rough start, where he had to hustle his way up and met generous people along the way. The man also touched on how he disliked the way people from South Africa glamourise life in the USA for likes and views.
The people of Mzansi were stunned to hear that the American dream was fabricated. The chap shared that there was light at the end of the tunnel, but only if one is willing to go through the darkness first.

Two days ago, a South African man who moved to the US in 2019 in search of greener pastures explained that life as a foreigner in the country was a huge challenge. He hustled hard to find a job after losing his job for four months after someone threatened him in the workplace.

He was evicted from his home within 24 hours after he quit his job and was homeless for a while. The man hustled for a job with no luck and explained that he was broke:
“I couldn’t even afford a SIM card.”
After a while, he was saved by an old man who took him in and helped him find a job at a soap-making factory, where he was in charge of the packaging. He was then able to climb up the ladder and apply to more jobs after he had gained enough experience.

The chap highlighted that many workplaces abroad undermined foreigners and often overworked them. He would walk an hour to work every day until he saved up enough money for a bicycle.
Today, he owns a house and also has a side hustle where he sells cars online. He warned South Africans not to believe too much in the American dream, as things are much more brutal in real life.
He advised people not to be reckless when it comes to their finances, as jobs are scarce for foreigners. He made many people aware that most South Africans who moved to the US were living fake lives and were drowning in debt.
