Polokwane-based artist SK Original, real name Sandile Kgaphola, shared his latest work of art made of cracked glass. The lucky recipient of a portrait was none other than actor Thembinkosi Mthembu.

On 22 August, 2025, SK Original uploaded a clip on his TikTok account showing him handing over the artwork to Thembinkosi. The portrait portrayed the actor as King Dingiswayo, a character he played in Shaka iLembe, which aired on M-Net's channel Mzansi Magic. The show retells the story of King Shaka and the Zulu Kingdom.

On 27 July, 2025, audiences bade the king farewell after Thembinkosi played him for two seasons on the show.

The viral video, which received over 2.2 million views since its publication, had many local members of the online community taking to the comment section in awe. Many people wished the artist much success and praised his unique talent.
