A local man left social media users in a mix of laughter and disbelief after a video of him during a trolley dash at a local Shoprite store was shared online.
The clip, shared by TikTok user @mayfieldsquare, garnered massive views, likes, and comments from social media users who criticised him, and others who found the whole experience amusing.
The video begins as the shopper prepares for the trolley dash race. The man, who is not very fast, goes straight to the 10kg maize meal section and takes three bags before moving to take two bags of 10kg rice. The people around him, who are rooting for him, start to realise that he is too slow and motivate him to run to the meat section.

He gets to the deep freezer section and takes three bags of 5kg chicken portions from the deep freezer. Before leaving, he is advised to take 5kg drumsticks by those who are cheering him on, and he takes three.

He then runs to the cooking oil section and gets six 5-litre bottles. As he is about to move, he is shown a 10kg bag of sugar, which he quickly grabs.
