South Africans Frustrated Over 2 Men’s Trolley Dash Attempt: “All They Did Was Run”

Two men who participated in a trolley dash at a Pick n Pay store in Gauteng barely got to fill their shopping cart in a trolley dash competition. The participants left many South Africans frustrated when they rushed past a few essential items that stayed on the shelves.
Sky City Mall posted the TikTok video on their account on 28 July, 2025, and captioned the post with a laugh:
"Never send a man to do a woman’s job in a trolley dash."

The caption came about after the men had only filled their trolley with what appeared to be two big bags of chicken and processed meats that were a few aisles away from where they first stopped.

During their unknown allotted time, the men missed the opportunity to stack their cart with red meats, which were opposite the chicken and close to the in-store butchery. Furthermore, they also failed to see the bags of charcoal and an aisle that had a massive sign reading 'bulk basics' on the wall.
Shame, maybe they'll get lucky next time around.
Trolley dash attempt gets a thumbs-down
A few local members of the online community headed to the comment section to express their frustration. Some social media users also cracked jokes about the men's failed attempt to fill their trolley.
