Hebanna! One young lady is going through it in the cooking department, and South Africans were left in stitches and disbelief after she proudly showcased her culinary efforts online, only for her dishes to spark waves of side-eye reactions.

The post featured a series of food pictures that were uploaded by the stunner under the TikTok handle @manabss, which quickly gained attention as many questioned her kitchen skills.

In the first picture, @manabss shared a plate of chicken served with rice and sauce. However, the chicken appeared undercooked, and the rice was overcooked to the point of resembling porridge. Online users were quick to point out the texture, with one person cracking a joke, saying:

The second image showed chicken paired with pasta. Yet again, her dish failed to impress, as the pasta looked poorly prepared and the chicken lacked appeal. South Africans, known for their love of well-seasoned and hearty meals, didn’t hold back their commentary.

The final picture showcased beans served with pap, but this meal also missed the mark. The beans looked undercooked and unseasoned, while the pap appeared lumpy. For many viewers, it was the third strike that confirmed her meals needed urgent improvement.

Social media users flooded the comments section with jokes, some advising her to “stick to ordering takeaways,” while others suggested she consider cooking classes.

While the reactions were mostly humorous, some defended her, praising her for at least trying and reminding others that cooking is a skill that can improve over time. Still, the overwhelming consensus from Mzansi was that the meals didn’t pass the test.
