South Africa Makes Fun of Officer Out of Sync With Others During March

Officers of the law lined up in a video that went viral on TikTok. People were thoroughly amused after seeing the officers trying to prove that they were a well-organised unit.

Online users noticed that one of the officers that was lined up stood out like a sore thumb. People were full of jokes after seeing how he missed his mark during their parade.

In a TikTok video posted by @shepisoranthako, the law officers were lined up in a row. They were meant to look organised and turn together at the same time, but one of them ruined it. An officer who was wearing a completely different coloured uniform turned in the wrong direction, and he tried to rectify it. The man was also a step behind with the salute, and everything looked awkward as they stomped one leg down during the drill.

The South African Department of Justice explained that law officers will often do drills to foster teamwork and sharpen their coordination. The drills help officers deal with public-facing duties, such as overseeing community gatherings. Public drills instil trust in law enforcement as officer can show their capabilities. It helps officers prove that they are ready and capable of dealing with emergencies in a controlled environment.
