A group of South African rugby fans caused quite a stir on 16 August 2026 when they appeared at a rugby event wearing All Blacks jerseys. They stood behind a barricade outside the venue holding up a handmade sign declaring their love for New Zealand.

The video spread quickly online, drawing thousands of comments from South Africans who had a lot to say about the group's choice of allegiance. They held up a poster which read:

"ADOPT US. WE'RE SOUTH AFRICAN, BUT OUR HEARTS ARE KIWI."

The lighthearted clip by @rugbysgreatestrivalrytour hit a very real nerve back home. For many South Africans, supporting the All Blacks over the Springboks is more than just a sporting preference. Watch the video that got everyone talking below:
