"Should've Known": Online Shopper Orders 11-Piece Cooking Set, Gets Tiny Toy Pots Instead

  • A South African TikToker ordered an 11-piece stainless steel cooking set from Checkers online and shared the unboxing on 16 August 2026
  • The set that arrived looked nothing like what an adult kitchen requires, sparking a wave of laughter across social media
  • Viewers quickly pointed out that the price tag should have been the first warning sign

A South African TikToker got more than he bargained for when he ordered an 11-piece stainless steel cooking set from Checkers online. What arrived was a miniature set more suited to a child's play kitchen than an adult stovetop.

TikToker @nkazimulo.zulu77 posted the unboxing clip on 16 August 2026 with the caption: "POV: you ordered a cooking set from Checkers 😭✌️." The video showed him opening the package to reveal what appeared to be tiny toy pots and pans, a far cry from the full-sized cookware he presumably had in mind.

The clip spread quickly, with viewers torn between sympathy and laughter. Many were not entirely surprised once the price came up. Comments suggested the set cost around R200 for all 11 pieces, which explained a great deal.
