A woman lost her life in Huixquilucan, Mexico, on 19 August 2026, after a giant billboard collapsed onto the road and crushed the vehicle she was travelling in. Surveillance footage, obtained by CBS News via C5 Estado de México through Storyful, captured the moment the structure gave way and came down across the road. The billboard landed directly on top of the woman's car, leaving her with no chance to escape.

The footage, posted by a verified CBS News account @cbsnews on TikTok, shows the scale of the structure and the force with which it fell. The billboard spanned the width of the road, making it impossible for the vehicle beneath it to avoid impact.

According to CBS News, emergency responders attended the scene in Huixquilucan, a municipality in the State of Mexico. The woman inside the vehicle did not survive.
