“I’m Speechless": Mpumelelo Primary School in KZN Mourns Death of Young Learner

A KwaZulu-Natal primary school is in mourning after losing one of its young learners. Mpumelelo Primary School shared the news on Facebook on 28 August 2026, posting a memorial tribute to the child and asking the community to keep the family in their hearts.

The school’s post did not disclose the learner’s name, age, or the circumstances surrounding the death. The tribute read: “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved learner. Gone from our sight but never from our hearts.”

The memorial included the scripture verse Matthew 25:23, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and closed with the words “Forever in our hearts.”
