Keith Richardson, the former Headmaster of Wynberg Boys' High School in Cape Town, has passed away. The school's current Headmaster, Deon Scheepers, shared the news on 18 September 2026, describing Richardson as one of the most significant figures in the institution's history.

Richardson first joined the Wynberg staff in 1975. After a brief period away, he returned and went on to dedicate four decades of his life to the school. He served as Headmaster from 1999 to 2015, leading the institution with distinction for 16 years.

A legacy built over four decades

His contribution to Wynberg stretched well beyond the Headmaster's office. As a teacher, mentor and colleague, Richardson played a central role in shaping the school's character and culture. Scheepers wrote that his "deep love for Wynberg, his dedication to education and his unwavering commitment to the young people entrusted to his care have left an enduring legacy."
