She posted a new YouTube video after women in the country reached out to her amid the Ekurhuleni murders after nine women were found deceased. Kandis opened the video by acknowledging her South African followers directly, saying they were her biggest supporters and that she could see their cry for help. She said:

During the session, Kandis described the energies she felt. The medium stressed her reading was for entertainment purposes only. She was clear that none of her impressions was confirmed fact. Kandis admitted she was deeply unsettled and was in distress:
