The Ndlovu Youth Choir had the internet talking before they even stepped on stage. On 20 September 2026, the choir posted a clip from a venue in the Netherlands that showed the full squad in high spirits, dancing in a conga-style train through what looked like an office break room.
One by one, members danced at the front of the line before looping to the back, keeping the momentum going as upbeat music played in the background. The caption said it all:
"All pumped up and ready to take the stage! We're ready for you!"
From Limpopo to the world stage
The choir was formed in 2009 in Dennilton, Limpopo, as part of an after-school programme run by the Ndlovu Care Group for orphaned and vulnerable children. Over the years, those young people evolved into a globally recognised act known for blending traditional South African sounds with Afro-pop, jazz, rock and EDM.

Their biggest international breakthrough came in 2019 when they became finalists on Season 14 of America's Got Talent, making history as the first choir to reach the show's final. Judge Simon Cowell described it as one of the best finals performances he had ever seen.
The Netherlands tour in September 2026 builds on a strong relationship with Dutch audiences, including previous sold-out dates and a major residency at the AFAS Theatre. Their setlists have featured crowd favourites such as Toto's Africa and a Zulu-language version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
