Why the presenter search calls to him
For Nkosi, entering this competition was a natural next step. Presenting is something he says he has always felt drawn to, and he sees the platform as a chance to stretch himself beyond what he has already achieved. He said:

"I enjoy communicating with people, telling stories, being in front of the camera and creating an atmosphere where people feel engaged and entertained."
He is also motivated by the learning opportunity the competition offers. Being surrounded by other talented presenters, going through elimination rounds and earning public votes all form part of a process he values beyond just the outcome.
More than the image
Nkosi is keen for people to see past the curated version of him that exists on social media. He describes himself as someone who has navigated real highs and genuine setbacks, and credits those experiences for shaping his approach to life and work.
He believes fashion and entertainment carry weight beyond aesthetics. In his view, both industries have the power to open doors and shift how people see themselves and others.
Public voting for the Mr SA 2026 Red Carpet Presenter Search forms a key part of how the competition works. Contestants move through stages that test their on-camera presence, communication and audience connection, with community support influencing their progress along the way.
Briefly News spoke to Nkosi about his journey in the competition, his passion for presenting and what he hopes other young South Africans can take from his experience.
Nkosi closed with a message aimed squarely at young South Africans watching from the sidelines:
"Your journey does not have to look like anyone else's. Stay authentic, keep working and believe in yourself."
