A South African social media creator, @mohlala_puse, sparked a wave of interest on TikTok on 12 October 2026 after posting a video about a new locally built app called Integreet, which promises to reward South African content creators for their online activity.

The creator pointed out that South Africans have long been responsible for some of the internet's most viral dance moves and challenges, yet most platforms have not compensated them for that creativity. Integreet is being positioned as an answer to that frustration.

"South Africans can earn from creating content."

What Integreet offers SA creators

According to Entrepreneur Times, Integreet is a South African-built platform where users can post content, go live, comment, like and engage with others, earning from each of those interactions. The more active a user is, the more earning opportunities they unlock. The app also features a marketplace where verified businesses can list and sell their products and services, a live-streaming function, meeting tools and AI-powered image and video generation to support creators in bringing ideas to life.

The app is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
