The woman asked her man to pay for her lashes, and the chap acted like it was a 100-mark essay. South Africans were stunned by his behaviour and were convinced that they should settle with generous partners.

People discussed the ridiculous matter in a thread of over 5.8K comments after the lady posted the voice note yesterday. She was so defeated by the guy’s response that she couldn't even text him back.

Boyfriend refuses to pay R100 for girlfriend’s lashes

A South African woman exposed her frugal boyfriend on TikTok after he sent a long WhatsApp voice note of why he would not spend R100 on lashes. The chap explained that he would not pay for his girlfriend’s artificial lashes, even though her life depended on it.

He also went on and on about how beautiful she was and how she needed nothing more to enhance her beauty:

“This thing you’re mentioning is very expensive.”

South Africans were outraged by the man’s behaviour and highlighted why women should never date for love. The chap promised to be polite with his response, but thousands crashed out in the comments section after he mentioned that the R100 lashes were useless:

“I can’t imagine my daughter or my sisters saying that they need this to survive, even if they did, I would smack them hard. Even if I had to save your life, I would not.”
