MMA vs. Boxing explained

The two sports of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and boxing have key differences that are often misunderstood. While boxing focuses solely on punches, MMA is a combat sport that combines various fighting styles, including boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and Muay Thai.

According to ATL Fight Shop (2024), MMA allows for a wider range of techniques, such as kicks, knees, elbows, and grappling on the ground, while boxing is restricted to the use of a fighter's fists are restricted to strikes above the belt. This distinction is crucial to understanding the different strategies employed in each sport.

SA reacts to the couple's wrestling video

The clip gained massive views, likes, and comments from social media users who were disappointed by the real UFC match. Many stated that they expected a better fight, regretting that they had woken up at 4 am to watch a match that they felt was one-sided.

Some viewers added humour, jokingly saying that if a man wants to wrestle a person like that, he should at least buy them dinner first. "It's MMA, not boxing. You don't know the sport."

User @Makhosandile Mbulawa added:

"Imagine waking up at 4 am for that nonsense. A whole 25 minutes just for hugging."
