Social media user @cait.dk took to Instagram with some pictures of her honours graduation. Having her parents there was all the beautiful post-grad graduate could have asked for.

“This journey was like no other, but I’m here. I did it. The ups, the downs, the sleepless nights. A big s/o to my support system, you’ve brought me this far.

Briefly News managed to get in contact with the graduate and we asked her what piece of advice she has for other young women out there striving to reach their dreams. This is what she said:

"My word of advice would be fighting for whatever your heart desires. It doesn’t come easy, but it’s definitely worth it. The challenges along the way only make you stronger and more determined to reach your goal! If they can dream it, they can do it."

In other boss babe news, Briefly News recently reported that Lehlogonolo Mojapelo, a graduate from the University of Pretoria, shared her inspiring journey towards becoming a doctor on social media. Starting off with only a matric, Mojapelo pressed on and with persistence and dedication for 10 years, while having to overcome many hurdles along the way, she succeeded.

To celebrate her outstanding accomplishment, Mojapelo posted a clip on Instagram. The video highlighted the different parts of her incredible journey through a series of pictures. The clip was made even better with the addition of Sun-El Musician's Proud of You.

South Africans couldn't help but be inspired by her journey as hundreds of social media users took the time to react to the post.
