An Mpumalanga woman has inspired thousands of South Africans after sharing an incredible transformation video showing how she upgraded her home in just three years.

Beauty entrepreneur @eulanda.tillysihale, who runs a successful business selling beauty products including handbags, wigs, and weaves, posted a powerful before-and-after video in August 2025 with the simple caption:

"2022 vs 2025."

The transformation video begins by showing her home in 2022, where her kitchen contained just a big bucket with some belongings, a dish, and a blanket in a bag. The space was empty with no furniture or personal touches. Fast-forward to 2025, and the same woman is seen enjoying a completely transformed living space filled with modern furniture, home decor, and all the essentials for comfortable living.

The bathroom is stocked with toiletries, and windows throughout the home have lovely curtains that add warmth and style to each room.

The video ends with a powerful moment showing the entrepreneur holding up a cup of green tea with a Woolworths tea bag; a simple but meaningful symbol of how far she has come. Her success in the beauty business has allowed her to create the comfortable home she always dreamed of, proving that dedication and hard work can truly pay off.

"The power of social media": Limpopo orphan's shack replaced by community-built dream home, SA moved

"Being an entrepreneur means you’re your own boss, and while that comes with a lot of hard work, the rewards are far greater than working for someone else. There will always be ups and downs, but there’s a real sense of freedom and fulfilment in steering your own ship."
"Unlike a fixed salary that stays the same for months or even years, your profits as a business owner can grow daily depending on your effort and strategy. It’s not just about financial gain, though; it’s about building something of your own and seeing your ideas come to life."

How much is the beauty industry worth

According to information on Statista, South Africa’s beauty and personal care industry is set to make about R85 billion (US$4.51 billion) in 2025, and it’s still growing each year. The biggest chunk of this comes from everyday personal care products like soap, shampoo, and skincare, worth around half of the total market.

More South Africans are choosing natural and organic products as people become more aware of health and environmental issues. The country’s cultural mix also shapes the industry, with traditional beauty routines combining with modern trends. Social media has a big influence, too. Many shoppers now trust online reviews and influencer tips when choosing products. There’s also rising demand for inclusive ranges that suit different skin tones.
