“We are aware that our customers use these deep discount promotions to save and stock up on their festive season essentials during this time of the year. These include sweet treats, cold drinks, staples and canned goods, for example. For this reason, our buyers have worked hard to negotiate the best possible deals, and bundle offers, on these items - ensuring our customers are getting the very best value this Black Friday on what they really need,” says Andrew Stein, Vice President of Marketing, Massmart.

Between now and 11 November, consumers can take advantage of bundle deals on pantry essentials, such as:

A bundle including 5KG Golden Cloud cake wheat flour, 5KG Econo Super Maize Meal and 5KG, Tastic long grain rice, all for R199, saving you16%.

4 X 2L Coca-Cola’s for R90, giving customers a saving of 10%.

Any 3 Koo canned vegetables for R50.

Great Value Macaroni or Spaghetti (500g) and 2 Lucky Star Minced Pilchards

(410g) for R50.

“Some of these deals allow our customers to feed their family for less than R100 – which is the value South African shoppers have come to expect of Game. They can also stock up on milk or cooldrinks at prices affordable enough to allow them to stock up for the next month or more – or share these bundles with their families,” says Stein.

In conclusion, Stein highlights the value of Game’s Black Friday deals for a range of customers, from parents to students. Parents, for example, can save R208 on Pampers Active Baby Nappies, Pants, or Premium Care Nappies, reducing the price by 35% (originally R587). Meanwhile, for students, Game offers entry level tech like the Acer Proline laptop for just R1 999 (save R 1500) and the Samsung Galaxy A04e smartphone for R1699.

Shoppers can find all deals in their closest Game store or online and can select same-day pick-up – should you want a quicker turnaround time.
