KWAZULU-NATAL — A house in Durban was set on fire by a crowd of protesters on 9 October 2026, after demonstrators forced their way onto the property and looted it.

The incident unfolded on Campbell Road in Umbilo, Durban, with onlookers gathering to film the blaze as flames engulfed the walled compound. Videos captured the chaotic scene on the ground, showing a large structural fire burning behind palm trees while crowds moved toward the property.
