Legendary WWE wrestler, Terry Gene Bollea, who is popularly known as Hulk Hogan, has passed away at the age of 71.

The six-time WWE champion reportedly died at his home in Clearwater, Florida, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, after medical professionals examined him.

Reports also have it that the emergency call over Hogan's health was regarding a “cardiac arrest,” which might have been the cause of his death.

Multiple police and EMT units arrived at the scene, where the legendary wrestler was found unresponsive, and witnesses confirmed that he was stretchered off his house and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Tribute pours as Hulk Hogan passes on

There were rumours about him being in a coma weeks ago, but his wife, Sky, came out to squash the untrue reports, stating that her husband was fine and his heart was “strong” as he recovered from surgeries.

Popular WWE legend Ric Flair led the tributes and mourned the passing of Hulk Hogan.

"I am absolutely shocked to hear about the passing of my close friend @HulkHogan!
"Hulk was by my side from the very beginning of our journey in the wrestling world. More than just an incredible athlete and performer, he was a loyal friend and a devoted father. Our friendship meant everything to me. He showed up for me—always—even when I didn’t ask. When I was in the hospital fighting for my life with just a 2% chance of survival, he stood by my bedside and prayed for me.

The news about Hulk Hogan's death came a few days after the death of rugby legend Des van Jaarsveldt, who was the oldest living Springboks before another one emerged after his death.
