David de Gea made his return to football after 446 days, but his debut for Fiorentina was one to forget.
The Manchester United legend conceded three goals in Fiorentina's Europa Conference League play-off clash against Hungarian club Puskas Akademia.
The former Premier League star has now reacted to his performance on Thursday night.
The Spaniard left Manchester United after the 2022/23 season and spent the entire 2023/24 season without a club.

The 33-year-old made 545 appearances and won five major trophies since joining in 2011.
He didn't start Fiorentina's opening match in the Serie A against Parma over the weekend but made his debut against Puskas Akademia.
However, things didn't go as expected. The Premier League winner conceded two first-half goals in 12 minutes, but his team erased the deficit and took a 3-2 lead.
Still, they couldn't hold on for the win as the Hungarian side scored late on through Wojchiech Golla to secure a 3-3 draw ahead of next week’s return leg.
Fiorentina manager Raffaele Palladino was not happy with his team's performance.
“It was a bad start, that goes without saying, and it was honestly inexplicable. We made errors I don’t even see in training sessions, they were big mistakes to go 2-0 down," via The Mirror.
De Gea's final seasons at Man United were filled with costly errors that prompted Erik ten Hag to bring in Andre Onana.
David de Gea speaks
After the match, De Gea shared an emotional message on X.
"What a feeling to be back, incredible but with lots of emotions and feelings," he said. "I want to thank my family, friends and supporters of Fiorentina for the reception and look forward to the upcoming season to see what we can achieve together."
The Spaniard could make his Serie A debut against Venezia this weekend.
De Gea joins Fiorentina
Earlier, Briefly News reported that de Gea finally made a remarkable comeback in club football, more than a year after his dramatic departure from Manchester United.
The veteran goalkeeper joined Fiorentina on a one-year contract, with an option to extend his deal for another year.
