From 1500m to 200m, 5 Must Watch Events at 2024 Diamond League Final

The 2024 track and field season is coming to an end, and the 2024 Diamond League final is one of the final events
Several athletes, including Olympic gold medallists, have pulled out of the Diamond League, but some top talent will be present on Friday and Saturday in Brussels.
The two-day events will feature world record events and battles for Diamond Trophies and thousands of dollars.

Kenya's Faith Kipyegon, Botswana's Letsile Tebogo, Beatrice Chebet, Akani Simbine, Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Mondo Duplantis, and Sydney McLaughlin Levrone are some of the stars that will compete.

16 of the 32 disciplines at the event will be contested on the first day at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme, with the remaining events taking place on the second and final day.
82 medallists from the 2024 Paris Olympics will also be competing in the Diamond League final, per World Athletics.
Must see events at Diamond League final
Men's 1500m
The men's 1500m has been one of the most intriguing track events in the last few years. USA's Cole Hocker, who upset Josh Kerr and Jakob Ingebrigtsen to win gold in Paris will be competing. Kerr will not be in Brussels, meaning Hocker, Yared Nuguse, and Ingebrigtsen will battle for the title.
The three stars will likely attempt to smash Hicham El Guerrouj's 26-year-old world record of 3:26.00. All three stars are in the top 10 of the all-time list.
Women's 100m
Olympic gold and silver medallists Julien Alfred and Sha'Carri Richardson will battle for the Diamond Trophy in the 100m. The American narrowly defeated Alfred in Zurich, and the Saint Lucia star will be seeking revenge.
Shericka Jackson, the defending champion, will not be in the final, meaning we will see a new champion. Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita will be looking to upset the Olympic stars.
Men's 200m
Letsile Tebogo is on a roll right now in the men's 200m. After upsetting American stars Noah Lyles and Kenny Bednarek, the Botswana star has not lost a single race since. In Brussels, he will face Bednarek, Fred Kerley, and Erriyon Knighton and will likely bag his first 200m title.
Women's 5000m
Kenya's Beatrice Chebet attempted to smash Gudaf Tsegay's world record in Zurich but fell short. In Brussels, she will likely attempt to break it again, but it seems she will fall short again because the field doesn't have any of the big hitters.
Nadia Battocletti, Faith Kipyegon, Sifan Hassan, and Gudaf Tsegay will not be on the field, so Chebet will need to work harder to shatter the record.
Men's 800m
The men's 800m world record could be broken in Brussels. Olympic medallists Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Djamel Sedjati, and Marco Arop will be on the field, meaning they will try and break David Rudisha's 12-year world record. Interestingly, Wanyonyi, Arop, Sedjati, and Gabriel Tual are in the top six on the all-time list.
Tebogo wins 200m race at Zurich Diamond League
Briefly News earlier reported that the 21-year-old crossed the line in a winning time of 19.55 seconds, beating the American sprinter, who came second in a personal best time of 19.57 seconds.
American duo Erriyon Knighton and Fred Kerley came third and fourth, respectively, in the race. The latter finished in a season-best time of 19.81 seconds.
