Is Salah the African GOAT?
Harambee Stars midfielder exclusively told Briefly News Salah can become the African GOAT.
"For me it is [greatest African player] Eto'o. Salah is in the conversation, but I prefer Samuel Eto'o. Football is about how someone made an impact and how someone inspired you. Some players inspire you more than others. I've watched Eto'o since I was young, and he's always been my favourite."
"Salah is on the same level as [Didier] Drogba, Eto'o, maybe he just needs to win an AFCON."
Cameroon icon Eto'o is regarded as the greatest African football ever. He won two AFCON titles and two European trebles.
Reason why Salah rejected Saudi League
Briefly News earlier reported that Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo offered insights into why the competition was unable to secure Mohamed Salah’s signature despite high expectations.
The Egyptian forward was heavily linked with a move to Al-Ittihad, joining Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Neymar in the wave of top-tier players migrating to the Middle East.
