Lawson further explained that the former Sporting Lisbon star stayed with the man for five to 10 minutes before returning to his seat, unassuming of his star status and what he had just done.

Bruno Fernandes' form post ten Hag

The 'assist' comes hot on the heels of his five-star performance against Leicester City on Sunday. The 30-year-old scored once, forced an own goal and assisted another as the Red Devils thumped the Foxes in Ruud van Nistelrooy's final game in charge as interim boss.

Fernandes had suffered a dip in form under Erik ten Hag but has since rediscovered his scoring boots, finding the back of the net five times in four games.
