How is Michail Antonio doing?

Antonio is still recuperating in hospital after being involved in a ghastly road accident on Saturday. Thankfully, he had already regained consciousness and talked to the squad before the vital win.

Matt Doherty cancelled out Tomas Soucek's opener, but captain Jarrod Bowen scored a spectacular goal to ensure the Hammers got the maximum points.

Away from Antonio's tribute and the scoreline, the other talking point in the game involved Crysencio Summerville and his sleeves in the first half.

Why Crysencio Summerville was asked to remove his sleeves

The match referee, John Brooks, and fourth official, Tim Robinson, asked the West Ham winger to remove his sleeves.

The Dutch winger donned white sleeves, which were of a different colour from the home side's shirt colour of maroon and blue sleeves. This is in contravention of the Laws of the Game, as Chapter 4 states;

"Undershirts must be, a) a single colour which is the same colour as the main colour of the shirt sleeve; or b) a pattern/colours which exactly replicate(s) the shirt sleeve."

Summerville's sleeves ought to have been maroon or blue for him to be allowed to use them. The same rule also requires players to use the same colour of undershorts as the main shorts if they are going to wear one.

It is still unclear why that is in place, especially in Summerville's case, where his white sleeves did not clash in any way with what the opposite team was wearing.

What next for West Ham and Wolves?

The win took West Ham to 18 points in 14th place on the Premier League table, nine ahead of relegation places ahead of their game against Bournemouth next Monday.

The result, meanwhile, is disastrous for Gary O'Neill's side, who remain second from last with only two wins all season.
