Springbok veteran prop Trevor Nyakane recently celebrated his wedding anniversary, with Springboks captain Siya Kolisi’s ex-wife, Rachel, leading the celebrations.

Nyakane, a double Rugby World Cup winner in 2019 and 2023, has not featured for the Springboks since 2021 due to a career-threatening injury.

He currently plays for the Sharks in the United Rugby Championship, having rejoined the Durban-based team in 2024 after a stint with French side Racing 92.

When asked how it felt to win the World Cup and perform that iconic dance, Nyakane struggled to find words.

“I really can’t put it into words. All I can do is express myself, and for me, that’s dancing.”
