The sightings that followed appeared to confirm a growing closeness between the two. Rachel's birthday celebrations in Jeffrey's Bay in December 2025 saw both of them present, and early in 2026 the pair travelled to Victoria Falls — notably the same destination where Siya and Rachel Kolisi had honeymooned. Although neither posted pictures together during that trip, a fan photographed them boarding a cruise on the Zambezi River.

Their public appearances continued into February 2026, when both attended the NBA All-Star weekend at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. By April, Siya appeared in a video alongside Rachel John ahead of what fans described as a date night, captioning the moment by calling himself a "lucky man."

Since that April appearance, the pair have maintained a noticeably lower profile. They still follow each other on social media, which some fans have taken as a sign that the relationship remains intact.

Rachel John's Instagram Stories placed her in Cape Town recently. At the same time, Siya is understood to have relocated to the Mother City himself following his departure from the Sharks in KwaZulu-Natal to rejoin the Stormers.

Whether the shared city signals a shared future remains to be seen. Neither party has made an official statement confirming or denying the relationship's current status.
